Lauren Brady, Producer


Originally hailing from Denver, Colorado, Lauren graduated with an honors degree in Film and Television Production from the Tisch School of the Arts, New York University (NYU). Her thesis film, Merhaba, was shot on-location in Istanbul, Turkey in March 2010 and featured an international cast and crew, including father/daughter celebrity duo Fadik and Sönmez Atasoy. At NYU, Lauren produced numerous student films as well as Tisch New Theatre’s stage play, Move Over, Mrs. Markham.

 

While at NYU, Lauren was a member of Tisch University Scholars, a select group of students chosen for their artistic ability and commitment to public service. She also studied abroad in Dublin, Ireland where she produced and directed the music video for Cowboy X’s song Japanese Toy.  Lauren was a recipient of the Martin Scorsese Young Filmmakers Scholarship, the Warner Brothers Production Grant, the Charles and Lucille King Family Foundation Scholarship, and a Dean’s Grant. In addition, her screenplay for Merhaba was a finalist for the 2010 George Heinemann Production Award. She was featured in the Tisch News article Female Filmmakers Are Making Their Mark and was one of thirteen students profiled in the 2010 Commencement issue of NYU Today.  Her YouTube video Colorado Girls, a parody of Katy Perry and Snoop Dogg’s California Gurls, went viral on YouTube with almost 1 million hits and counting!

 

Lauren currently serves as Head of Production for the New York office of Lonelyleap Film (www.lonelyleap.com).
